Crochet Along (CAL)

A Crochet Along (CAL) is an online event, where a group of people work together on a crochet project. This is typically done for a specific pattern or theme, usually under the guidance of an experienced crocheter (the host).

A CAL is an enjoyable way to connect with other crocheters, share tips, get inspired and stay motivated to complete the project within a specified time.

I conduct CALs all the time. Here's how it works.

1. I announce a CAL, specifying the project, start date, duration and material requirements.

2. Participants join the CAL by signing up on my CAL registration page.

3. I create an exclusive online group for participants.

4. I provide patterns, tutorial videos, written instructions, text and audio on the group.

5. All participants (including me) work together on the project.

6. We offer support, encouragement and feedback to each other while also sharing our progress.

7. As we approach the end of the CAL, participants showcase their beautiful creations.

8. I conclude the CAL.

CALs are a great way to learn new crochet skills and techniques while staying motivated and accountable. They are fun and offer a fantastic sense of community!
